Serenity in the Smokies is a weekend of sharing experience, strength, and hope through open speaker meetings, seminars, sharing groups, meditation, and recreation. The seminars are designed to help each woman with personal, emotional and spiritual growth.

This weekend is for any woman who uses Twelve Step Programs to recover from alcoholism, codependency, and other addictions - including symptoms associated with being an adult child of or living with an alcoholic.

NEWS FLASH! Short Weekend Option available. Our short weekend option starts with dinner on Friday, October 29, through breakfast on Sunday, October 31. See registration form for rates.

YOU ARE INVITED TO A COSTUME PARTY!

On Friday night after the speaker meeting, there will be a party with music and dancing and all sorts of frivolities. The theme of the party is:

"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!"

Do you remember Who Shot J.R.? What hair style were you sporting in the '80s: a Mullett, a Perm, a Rat Tail, Feathered, or maybe the "Princess Diana?"

Well, break out those head bands and leg warmers ladies cause we are going back to the 1980s. This year, our Friday night will be filled with costume contests, dance contests, and so much more.

Dress as your favorite "Character Defect" or make your "80s Fashion Statement." Have fun with it, use your imagination, and let's flash back and flash dance together!

It doesn't matter if you were a Yuppie Girl, Valley Girl, or a Material Girl because, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!"

If you choose, you can come to the meeting in costume or change after the speaker.
