Celebrate the 30th Annual
Serenity in the Smokies Women’s Retreat
September 19-22, 2013

Dear Friends, Fans and Supporters:

Mark your calendars, tie a string around your fingers and enter the dates into your smart phones!!! Serenity in the Smokies 2013 will be held September 19-22! This is the  30th gathering  for our group and, with your help, we plan to make this one extra special.

With that in mind, we have great news!  Back by popular demand, WOMANSONG will be our entertainment for Friday night during this year’s retreat. They are a dynamic and wonderful chorus whose stated mission is “ to celebrate many themes in women’s lives, including empowerment, spirituality, healing and humor.” We are excited and grateful to have them coming back! 

Attendance has been down the last few years and  we are being asked by Kanuga not only to beef up our overall numbers if possible, but also to be sure folks pre-register so they can be sure there are enough rooms (but not too many) set aside for our function!  The Kanuga staff has been very gracious to us over the years, and we would like to help them fill their lodge and cabins! So, please pre-register, early register and grab a friend or two to bring with you!

We know that Serenity has changed so many lives, including our own, that it is our mission to continue to make it available to women who want and need this event.

So, put on your recruiter hats and save your money and help us make this the best Serenity ever!

We will include a flyer next month that you can print and distribute in your areas. Please help us.

With less than 2 weeks until we arrive at Kanuga, the committee is hard at work with last minute arrangements. We want to make sure you are all welcomed and comfortable and have a positive experience at this year's conference. The presenters and speakers have been confirmed, and the boxes of crafts and banners from years past have been taken out of storage. We are making the final arrangements and trying to figure out how to get all this 'stuff' to the conference! It seems like there's an unending supply of something in all these Serenity boxes in my basement. Ah, to have this much serenity in my basement. If I can only remember take it with me each moment of every day. For those of you who haven’t registered, there’s still time.  Just send us an e-mail at [email protected] and let us know you’re coming!  If you don’t send an e-mail and just show up at the conference, you will be greeted with a warm smile and we will make sure you have cozy accommodations.

Seminar and Optional information for this years retreat has been added to the website.  We are all very excited about the presenters and topics this year.  The brochure will be added in the next few days.  Also, the deadline for scholarships is coming quickly, so please send in scholarship registration forms if you need one!  We look forwarded to seeing you all in September!!!!  Peace and Love, Mary

Hello Ladies!!!  This years forms for registration and scholarships are now available.  You may complete these online (so they are legible) and print/mail.  We are working on confirming presenters for the seminars/optionals and expect to have information posted on the web very soon.  We are also working on the Friday night party theme and our speaker line up.  We are all so excited about the conference this year and hope you are too!!!
